Why is Oki used? What is it for?
Adults: Symptomatic treatment of inflammatory conditions associated with pain, including:
Rheumatoid arthritis
Ankylosing spondylitis
Painful osteoarthritis
Extra-articular rheumatism
Post-traumatic inflammation
Painful inflammatory conditions
Dosage
How to use Oki: Dosage
Adults: One sachet of 80 mg (full dose), three times a day with meals.
Maximum daily dose: 200 mg of ketoprofen (equivalent to 320 mg of ketoprofen lysine salt).
Special populations:
Children aged 6–14: Half a sachet (40 mg) three times a day with meals.
Not recommended for children under 6 years.
Elderly: Dosage should be carefully adjusted by the physician, possibly reduced.
Patients with liver impairment: Start with the minimum daily dose.
Patients with mild to moderate renal impairment: Start with a reduced dose and continue with the minimum effective dose.
Monitor urine output and kidney function.
Do not use in patients with severe liver or kidney dysfunction.
Contraindications
When should Oki not be used?
Oki 80 mg granules must not be used in the following cases:
Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient, other NSAIDs, or any of the excipients
History of allergic reactions such as bronchospasm, asthma attacks, acute rhinitis, urticaria, nasal polyps, or anaphylaxis with ketoprofen or similar drugs (e.g. aspirin)
Previous bronchial asthma
Severe heart failure
Active peptic ulcer or bleeding, or a history of recurrent peptic ulcer/bleeding (≥2 separate episodes)
History of GI bleeding or perforation related to NSAID treatment
Leukopenia or thrombocytopenia
Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis
Gastritis
Severe hepatic or renal
Bleeding disorders or coagulation abnormalities
